We are very excited to take delivery of our first marine buoy. This sturdy unit will be deployed into Croyde Bay in the next few weeks, to monitor water quality in the sea. The buoy will house the latest in sensor technology, sending real-time data to our Smart Biosphere platform.
The data will compliment that already coming from our three river-based units installed in the Croyde stream – you can view that data on our dashboard. To provide additional insights, we will be asking members of the public to become Citizen Scientists by testing the river and sea water directly, using portable test kits. If you would like to get involved, please contact us at biosphere-mailbox@devon.gov.uk
